Chicago breweries come together to eliminate plastic waste
Chicago-based breweries are joining forces to eliminate the plastic waste created by plastic can carriers. These plastic rings, or can carriers, are incompatible with sorting equipment, so if they are placed in the recycling bin they often get rejected and end up in landfills. Together with The Chicagoland Can Carrier Reuse and Recycling Co-op, they are encouraging customers to bring their plastic rings back to be properly reused and recycled. Learn more.
