About resource recovery
Businesses that supply tires into Ontario are required to meet resource recovery requirements as outlined in the Tires Regulation. By law, tires producers must report every year on the weight of tires they supply into Ontario, and how they met the resource recovery requirements.

Supply and resource recovery requirements
Tire producers report the weight of supplied materials to RPRA after a two-year lag (e.g., 2023 supply weight is reported to RPRA in 2025).
The dates below represent the year supply data was reported to RPRA.
Recovery
Tire producers report the weight of collected and recovered materials to RPRA after a one-year lag (e.g., materials recovered in 2024 are reported to RPRA in 2025).
The dates below represent the year in which materials were recovered.
