Mary Cummins appointed Deputy Registrar
The Authority is pleased to announce that Mary Cummins has been appointed Deputy Registrar.
As Deputy Registrar, Mary will support the delivery of the Authority’s risk-based regulatory program, including helping regulated parties understand their compliance requirements and enforcing compliance with the Waste Diversion Transition Act, 2016 and the Resource Recovery and Circular Economy Act, 2016. Mary will also assist in leading the Registry Compliance Team and supporting the development and ongoing management of the Registry.
Most recently, Mary was a Manager, Programs and Planning and was responsible for managing waste diversion programs and supporting the design and build of the Registry. She joined the organization six years ago when it was Waste Diversion Ontario as an oversight analyst, and has steadily advanced to more senior positions. Mary brings a wealth of experience to the role, including as a steward services representative with Stewardship Ontario.
