Government consulting on proposed amendments to Excess Soil Regulation: Enabling Greater Beneficial Reuse of Excess Soil 

The Government of Ontario is currently consulting on proposed amendments to the Excess Soil Regulation (Ontario Regulation 406/19: On-Site and Excess Soil Management), which aims to make it easier and more affordable for construction businesses and municipalities to reuse excess soil locally.

The government is accepting feedback until November 21, 2024. To share your input, visit the Environmental Registry of Ontario, notice #019-9196.
