What is the consultation about?
RPRA is conducting a consultation to revise the section of the existing Blue Box verification and audit procedure that sets out requirements for management performance reporting. We will be seeking feedback on key questions and considerations that will enable RPRA to draft guidance about the measurement, reporting and auditing of the material recovered in the Blue Box program.
The consultation to revise the Blue Box verification and audit procedure will be conducted in two phases:
- Phase one will include an overview of the work completed to date, timelines and clarification on how to measure and report performance data during 2025 and 2026. It will also present proposed principles and definitions for key terms. Feedback gathered during this phase will inform the development of the draft procedure.
- Phase two will provide participants with the opportunity to provide feedback on the draft procedure developed after the first phase of the consultation has concluded.
Note: The consultation on supply data reporting and verification will be held at a later date. Registrants will be notified by email when more information becomes available. In the interim, producers should follow the updated guidance for 2025 supply reporting and verification.
