Resource Productivity and Recovery Authority Appoints Registrar
The Resource Productivity and Recovery Authority is pleased to announce the appointment of regulatory and compliance lawyer Patrick Moran as the Authority’s Registrar.
“Patrick’s experience and knowledge of regulatory and compliance law in the environmental field, combined with his commitment to environmental stewardship, makes him uniquely qualified to lead the Authority’s compliance and enforcement function,” said Glenda Gies, Chair of the Authority’s Board of Directors.
Mr. Moran’s legal experience spans almost three decades, first as Crown Counsel with the then Ontario Ministry of the Environment’s Legal Services Branch, then as Board Counsel to the Ontario Energy Board, in private practice with Ogilvy Renault (now Norton Rose Fulbright), and most recently as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary with the Nuclear Waste Management Organization.
“In addition to Patrick’s extensive regulatory and compliance law background, he also brings executive management experience and skills to build and lead the Authority’s compliance and enforcement team,” said Ms. Gies.
Mr. Moran’s appointment will be effective July 1, 2017.
