OES submits wind-up plan to the Authority
Ontario Electronic Stewardship (OES) has submitted its proposed wind-up plan to the Resource Productivity and Recovery Authority, meeting the deadline set by the Ontario government.
In February 2018, the then Minister of the Environment and Climate Change directed OES to wind up the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) program on June 30, 2020. OES was required to develop a wind-up plan and submit it to the Authority by December 31, 2018 as part of that direction. The Authority is currently reviewing the proposed wind-up plan.
