Authority receives Stewardship Ontario’s revised MHSW Wind-Up Plan
Stewardship Ontario (SO) has submitted a revised proposed MHSW Wind-Up Plan to the Authority by the September 30 deadline set by the Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks.
The Plan reflects the Minister’s revised wind-up date for the MHSW Program from December 31, 2020 to June 30, 2021.
The program to manage single-use batteries will cease operation on June 30, 2020, as previously directed by the Minister.
The Authority is currently reviewing the proposed MHSW Wind-Up Plan and anticipates launching public consultations on the proposed Plan later this fall before considering approval by the end of year as expected by the Minister.
