Minister directs the Authority to establish an Industry Advisory Council
On February 4, the Authority received a letter from the Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks directing it to establish an Industry Advisory Council.
The Council will provide advice to the Authority on matters including its business plan and fee setting, matters the Authority is consulting on, and other topics determined by the Council. The Council will meet at least twice a year starting this spring.
The Authority will determine the Council membership in consultation with industry representatives and the Ministry. The Council will be made up of a maximum of 11 members representing a cross-section of the regulated producer community.
The Authority will develop the Council’s terms of reference in consultation with industry representatives. The draft terms of reference will be posted to the Authority’s website in mid-February for public consultation.
Industry representatives interested in joining the Council should contact Cameron Parrack, Manager of Programs & Planning at: cparrack@rpra.ca
