Historical Datacall Statistics now posted
The Datacall is the source of data for determining the net Blue Box system cost and for allocating funding under the Blue Box Program Plan. Each Ontario program (municipality, recycling association or First Nation) providing recycling services must complete the Datacall to be eligible for Blue Box funding. The Datacall is also used to determine residential waste diversion rates by program and the province overall.
Every year, Datacall Statistics are posted to RPRA’s website. These statistics are presented in Excel spreadsheet format and include data for each program, including residential waste diversion rate, organics, other recyclables and Blue Box Program data such as accepted materials, tonnage, program costs and revenue.
To make the Datacall Statistics more accessible, RPRA has posted all historical statistics from years 2021 to 2002 to download via .zip file. View the statistics on the Datacall webpage or below.
RPRA also publishes a consolidated Datacall Report annually, which is presented in PDF format and includes a narrative summary of the statistics. The 2021 consolidated report will be made available in early 2023.
