Final 2024 fees for the Excess Soil Registry posted

The 2024 fees for users of the Excess Soil Registry were finalized on February 13, 2024. The 2024 fees will come into effect on April 1, 2024. See the fee schedule.

From November 10, 2023, to January 10, 2024, RPRA consulted on the proposed 2024 fees. As a result of feedback received during the consultation period, RPRA will spread the recovery of the Excess Soil Registry deficit over five years instead of the three years initially proposed, thereby reducing the final fee rates compared to the rates proposed during the consultation.

Note: The 2024 Excess Soil fee schedule has been updated with one change to reflect RPRA’s decision to extend the excess soil deficit recovery period to five years, which reduced fee rates compared to the rates proposed during the consultation. The fee rate for project area notices with soil volumes between 2,000 and 10,000 cubic metres (the lowest variable rate tier) is now $0.100/m3. The fee listed in the original schedule was $0.130/m3.
