Fee holiday for electronics producers comes into effect in 2026
Starting in 2026, electronics (information technology, telecommunications and audio-visual (ITT/AV) equipment) producers will have a fee holiday and will not be required to pay program fees. Producers are still required to submit their annual supply report by the deadline, but the associated fees will not apply.
The fee holiday is funded through the $17.5 million in residual funds transferred to RPRA from the legacy recycling program for electronics. Learn more.
The fee holiday will continue until the funds are depleted. RPRA will provide updates to producers ahead of program fees for electronics coming back into effect.
Program fees still apply for all other programs, so producers in multiple programs are required to pay fees when submitting supply reports for other programs.
Note: RPRA’s Registry is not yet open for reporting. RPRA will notify registrants at that time.
