Wind-up of 2025-26 InKind Program

The InKind Advertising Program, which operated under the legacy Blue Box Program, allowed newspapers to fulfil their steward obligations by contributing advertising linage to municipalities in lieu of cash funding.

With the final transition to the producer-run Blue Box program the 2025-2026 InKind program cycle will mark the final year of the program’s operation. The final deadline for municipalities to use their 2025-2026 InKind linage will be March 31, 2026, after which the program will no longer operate. The InKind advertising program homepage will also be taken offline at this time.

We would like to thank all municipalities, townships, First Nation communities, and other associations for their participation in the program over the years and for continuing to raise awareness about waste diversion.
