RPRA has released its 2027 Business Plan.

This year’s plan outlines a targeted approach to invest in initiatives that will advance RPRA’s strategic priorities and deliver value for money to registrants. RPRA’s strategic investments in 2027 total $30.8M, an increase of $1.1M or 3.6% from 2026.

Targeted investments include implementing audit and verification activities to support risk-informed enforcement for the Blue Box program; advancing all recommendations made by the Auditor General of Ontario; enhancing registry procedures to help registrants fulfill their regulatory requirements; and, identifying and publishing more compliance and registry data to increase understanding of Ontario’s circular economy initiatives.

In addition to the organization’s key activities for 2027, the plan outlines RPRA’s approach to risk management, financial planning and performance measurement, and details the human and financial resources RPRA will need to deliver on its mandate during the 2027-2029 planning period.
