The Authority hosted a webinar on Thursday, September 9 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am to discuss the principles and methodologies that will be used to update the Supply Data Verification section in the registry procedures. Producers will reference the procedures when submitting their first Supply Data Verification Report to the Authority in 2022. View the webinar recording and the presentation slides.
Stakeholders are encouraged to submit feedback on the Supply Data Verification section of the Batteries and ITT/AV Supply Data Verification Procedures to firstname.lastname@example.org by October 9, 2021. The Authority will consider all feedback received during the consultation period when developing the procedures.
Under the Batteries and Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) Regulations, producers of Batteries and Information Technology, Telecommunication and Audio Visual (ITT/AV) are required to report new supply information each year in order to establish their management requirement for the following year. Supply data for batteries and ITT/AV can only be reported to the Authority by a producer in accordance with the Batteries Verification and Audit Procedure and the EEE Verification and Audit Procedure.
Starting in 2022, battery and ITT/AV producers will need to submit a verification report to verify the supply data being reported to the Authority. Producers will need to work with a qualified person to complete a verification report to verify the supply data being submitted.
The lighting supply procedure is not part of this consultation as lighting producers are not required to register until November 30, 2022. The lighting procedure will be consulted on separately.
