Alberta government making its successful e-waste recycling pilot program permanent
The Alberta government is making its pilot e-waste recycling program permanent starting in April 2025. This program will allow residents to recycle various items, including cell phones, microwaves, and video game equipment. The program will accept items like power tools, lawn equipment, small appliances, audio/visual devices, musical instruments, and video game equipment at 365 recycling depots across 148 municipalities. There may be fees ranging from 40 cents to $1 per item, though these figures could adjust based on industry feedback. Read more about Alberta’s e-waste recycling program.
