A&W launches plastic-free and compostable coffee cup

A&W Canada is piloting Canada’s first plastic-free and fully compostable coffee cup beginning March 14 in participating restaurants across Canada. The Zero cup contains no plastic, including no plastic liner, lid, or straw. The design comes from the UK-based company ButterflyCup and is made entirely from paper with a unique water-based coating to prevent leaks, making it recyclable and compostable. Learn more.
