German rock-climbing brand launches collection of gear made from recycled and upcycled materials
German climbing gear brand Edelrid has launched a collection of rock-climbing equipment made from recycled and upcycled materials. The 3R collection includes a helmet with an outer shell made from 100% recycled materials from ropes and an energy-absorbing liner made of 100% recycled content. The Moe 3R harness is the first to be almost entirely made from recycled polyester, while the Neo 3R 9.8 climbing rope is the world’s first dynamic climbing rope made of 50% reused ropes. Other items in the collection include a recycled polyester sling and a rock shoe made from post-consumer polyester. Read more about the 3R collection.
