L’Occitane en Provence has partnered with French biochemistry company Carbios to produce a transparent PET bottle shower oil range using Carbios’ enzymatic recycling technology. The bottle is made from locally sourced PET waste and processed using Carbios’ technology, before being blow-molded by Pinard Beauty Pack, a French packaging company. The launch promotes responsible consumption and aims to reduce reliance on fossil-based plastics. The bottle’s production will reduce CO2 emissions by 57% when compared with virgin plastic production. Read more about PET bottles made from enzymatic recycling.
