Manitoba park revitalization project includes new path made with recycled materials
In a collaborative effort to make the already popular destination even more accessible to residents, the City of Morden and the city’s public works department recently joined together to add a lakeside path adjacent to Manitoba’s Lake Minnewasta. The walking path, more friendly to younger visitors or those with mobility issues than the existing trails in the area, was made using recycled and reused materials, including wood chips made from yard waste and concrete blocks that were originally part of a local events centre.
