Manitoba receives funding to support organic waste reduction and recycling
In an effort to support a circular economy, the Government of Manitoba is providing $8.7 million to municipalities, companies and organizations to fund organic waste reduction and support recycling initiatives. The funding will help divert organic materials from landfills through composting initiatives that will reduce greenhouse emissions but also contribute to high-quality plants and crops. Funding will also go towards supporting residential hazardous waste management, education, and communication with stakeholders around recycling priorities. Learn more.
