Paris 2024 launches circular economy strategy for the Olympic Games

Paris has introduced a comprehensive circular economy strategy for the Olympic Games, focusing on reducing resource consumption, promoting eco-design, and ensuring the second life of resources post-Games. The event aims to use existing infrastructure and reduce furniture and signage needs. Catering will reduce single-use plastic, and sports flooring and furniture will be sourced from companies committed to recycling and reusing materials. Temporary infrastructure will be repurposed or recycled, and facilities will be bequeathed for community use after the Games. Read more about the 2024 Paris Olympics circular economy strategy.
