The Happy Beetle is a company that wants to build a circular economy in Denver to increase the state’s low recycling rates. Inspired by a story of the self-sufficiency and reuse priorities of a dung beetle, the company launched to make it easier for communities and households to divert waste from the landfill through their curbside collection service. The Happy Beetle offers to collect a wide range of items that are not commonly accepted by municipal recycling programs such as eyeglasses, clothing and shoes, and car seats. The company works with third-party partners to recycle and responsibly dispose of the items. Learn more.
