Tire recycling initiative will transform end-of-life tires – supporting the circular economy
Klean Industries Inc. has signed an MOU with Viva Energy Australia to develop a tire recycling facility in Melbourne capable of processing 80,000 tonnes of end-of-life tires annually. The facility will produce recovered carbon black, steel, and biogenic pyrolysis oil, contributing to sustainability and lower-carbon fuel production. Viva Energy will test Klean’s pyrolysis oil at its Geelong Refinery, marking a step toward integrating alternative feedstocks like soft plastics and used cooking oil.
