Authority launches public consultations on Stewardship Ontario’s proposed MHSW Wind-Up Plan
The Authority is consulting on Stewardship Ontario’s proposed Municipal Hazardous or Special Waste (MHSW) Program Wind-Up Plan.
Stewardship Ontario submitted its proposed Plan to the Authority by the September 30, 2019 deadline set by the Minister. The Minister also directed the Authority to consult on the plan as part of the review and approval process. View the proposed Wind-Up Plan.
Feedback on Stewardship Ontario’s proposed plan can be shared with the Authority between October 7 and November 21, 2019 by emailing the authority at consultations@rpra.ca or by attending an in-person or online consultation session. Register for a session here.
The consultations are open to all MHSW Program participants, municipalities, the public and other interested stakeholders. Following the consultation period, the Authority will consider public feedback before considering the Plan for approval by the end of the year as anticipated by the Minister in his direction letter.
