To further support our registrants and stakeholders during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Registrar is making the following changes to the enforcement of reporting and fee payment deadlines:
Tires
2019 Tire Performance Data – Tire collectors, haulers, retreaders, processors and PROs will be not be expected to report their 2019 Tire Performance data until October 31. The May 31 performance reporting deadline in the Tires regulation will not be enforced provided reporting is completed by no later than October 31, 2020.
2018 Tire Supply Data and Registry Fee – Tire producers will not be expected to submit their 2018 tire supply data by the May 31 deadline in the Tires regulation. Updated expectations for the timing of supply data reporting and fee payment will be provided soon.
The Registrar will be communicating directly with registrants to provide details on how and when they can complete their reporting requirements as this information becomes available.
Batteries
Registration for Batteries Service Providers – The majority of service providers successfully registered with the Authority before the March 31 deadline. Businesses that were unable to meet the deadline must contact the Compliance and Registry Team to arrange for an alternate registration date.
Registration for Batteries Producers – The deadline for producers to register with the Authority is November 30. The Registrar will provide further information about when the registration process will become available.
The Authority continues to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation and is adjusting its operations accordingly to support registrants and stakeholders, including taking a flexible approach to compliance where possible. Compliance and Registry Officers, as with all other Authority staff, are available by phone and email to provide registrants support and address any questions.
