Resource Recovery Reports now live on RPRA website
RPRA has launched a new webpage to publicly report on resource recovery data under the Resource Recovery and Circular Economy Act, 2016 (RRCEA).
In our 2020 annual report, RPRA published performance reports under the RRCEA for the first time. This included tire producers’ performance for 2019, which was required by the Tires Regulation to be reported to RPRA in 2020. Now, RPRA will publish supply and performance data on its website, following review and verification. Publishing on the RPRA website will allow resource recovery data to be made available on a timely basis, rather than in the annual report in June of the following year.
As of June 2022, RPRA has published the following to its website:
- Tires supply data reported to RPRA in 2021, which sets the collection and management requirements for 2022
- Tires performance data reported in 2021 for the 2020 performance year
- Batteries and ITT/AV supply data reported in 2021, which sets the collection and management requirements for 2022

The contents of resource recovery reports are dictated by the information that producers and producer responsibility organizations (PROs) and other service providers are required to submit under the relevant regulations.
The timing of reports is dictated by deadlines in the regulation, the timing of reporting campaigns, and the time RPRA needs to prepare the reports for public posting.
RPRA will be consulting on its approach to public reporting this summer. More information will be posted on RPRA’s website once the consultation opens. Your feedback will be considered in enhancing RPRA’s public reporting.
