Participate in RPRA’s consultation on the draft Lighting Supply Data Verification Procedure

RPRA is consulting on its draft Lighting Supply Data Verification Procedure from December 7 to January 8, 2024. The draft lighting procedure is based on the existing procedures for batteries and ITT/AV to ensure alignment in processes across programs.

Producers of lighting will reference the procedure when submitting their first Supply Data Verification Report to RPRA in the spring of 2024.

Provide your feedback

Those directly affected by the procedures, such as producers reporting on their own activities and their auditors, are encouraged to review the draft procedure and provide their thoughts on the following topics:

  • Types of verifier/qualified person(s)
  • A combined procedure for lighting, ITT/AV and batteries (if applicable)
  • A proposed approach of which producers will submit a supply data verification report in 2024 based on producer category
  • Using a sampling methodology so RPRA can verify the supply data

Producers and their auditors are invited to attend a webinar to provide their feedback and ask questions about the draft procedure. Register for the webinar on Wednesday, December 13 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Feedback can also be submitted via email to consultations@rpra.ca. RPRA must receive all feedback by January 8, 2024. RPRA will consider all feedback when finalizing the Lighting Supply Data Verification Procedure.
