RPRA’s Registry is now open for supply and performance reporting for batteries, ITT/AV, and lighting
RPRA’s Registry is now open for supply and performance reporting for batteries, information technology, telecommunications, and audio-visual (ITT/AV) equipment and lighting.
Obligated producers, PROs, processors, haulers, and refurbishers must submit an annual performance report. Producers are also required to submit an annual supply report and pay the 2025 program fee. All reports are submitted online through RPRA’s Registry.
The deadline for battery, ITT/AV and lighting supply and performance reporting is April 30, 2025.

Recent amendments to Ontario’s Batteries and Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) regulations
The Ontario government has made amendments to producer responsibility regulations under the Resource Recovery and Circular Economy Act, 2016 (RRCEA), including to the Batteries and Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) regulations.
The following changes may affect producers, PROs, haulers, processors, and refurbishers during the upcoming reporting period:

- The requirement for individual processors to calculate and report on their recycling efficiency rates (RER) for batteries has been removed
More information can be found in the Summary of recent amendments to Ontario’s Batteries Regulation.
EEE Regulation changes
- Producers will now use a three-year rolling average to determine if they are exempt from registration and reporting
- Waste reduction incentives that producers were able to claim in their annual supply data report have been removed
- Producers are no longer required to include ITT/AV components and parts provided to a consumer separately from the related ITT/AV in their annual supply data report
- The requirement for individual processors to calculate and report on their recycling efficiency rates (RER) has been removed
