Scientists develop method to turn plastic waste into valuable material
Scientists at the University of California Santa Barbara are working on a better way to recycle plastic. Instead of melting and reshaping plastic polymers (which results in lower quality material), they have developed a method of breaking down the long polymer chains into short, valuable molecules.
