A typical American throws away 36kg worth of clothing a year — as a result of which, 5 million kg of underwear ends up in landfill sites across the US. A majority of the world’s undergarments are not reprocessed since they are made of synthetic fibres that cannot break down. Here’s how one undergarment company is closing the loop by reusing its own waste.
