Lego develops first bricks made from recycled plastic bottles

Lego has created its first bricks made from recycled plastic bottles after experimenting with over 250 variations of materials over the last three years. Currently, the prototypes are 4×2 bricks, with a 1litre plastic bottle making 10 bricks. Lego is continuing to test and develop the product further before committing to a pilot project. Additionally, the company has committed to removing single-use plastics and has been producing parts made from sustainably sourced sugarcane for pieces such as trees and leaves. Read more.
