Updates on Hazardous and Special Products producer registration
Producers of hazardous and special products (HSP) are required to register and report their supply data to the Authority. The deadline for producer registration in the HSP Regulation is October 31, 2021. The Authority recognizes that additional time for registration is needed and, as the regulator responsible for enforcing the HSP Regulation, is giving producers until November 30, 2021, to register.
Detailed guidance on the registration process will be communicated to potential HSP producers (including stewards in Stewardship Ontario’s MHSW program) by email and posted to our HSP webpage as it becomes available.

We are hosting a webinar for HSP producers on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
During this webinar, we will walk through the regulatory requirements for producers to help them understand and meet their obligations under the new regulation and provide them with an opportunity to ask questions.
2021 Registry Fees
HSP producers will pay their 2021 Registry fees at the same time they register with the Authority and submit their initial supply data report, if required.
