How some U.S. restaurants are taking out single-use takeout containers
Dispatch Goods, a reverse logistics company based in San Francisco is distributing reusable containers to eliminate single-use food packaging. The company is teaming up with restaurants and food delivery apps to package food in their containers that are delivered straight to customers. After use, customers can schedule an at-home collection or deposit the containers in return bins. The containers are picked up, sorted, sanitized, and redistributed where they can be reused hundreds of times.
