Incentive pilot project in Spain expected to boost e-waste recovery rates
The CIRC4Life Project in collaboration with the City Council of Getxo, Spain has piloted a 12-month incentive program to increase recycling rates of waste electrical and electronic equipment. Special intelligent e-waste recycling bins with scannable codes were placed around the city where residents could drop off old mobile phones, tablets and more for recycling.
