OES begins wind up consultations
Ontario Electronic Stewardship (OES) begins webinar consultations this week on the development of its plan to wind up the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Program. OES must submit a wind-up plan to the Authority by December 31, 2018 for approval. Register for a consultation.
In February 2018, the Minister of the Environment and Climate Change directed OES to wind up the WEEE Program on June 30, 2020. Electronic waste will be transitioned to individual producer responsibility (IPR) and the Authority will be responsible for overseeing IPR requirements for electronic waste.
