In 2019 Loblaws launched Flashfood, a digital marketplace that connects consumers to heavily discounted food nearing its best-before date. By downloading the app, customers can easily and quickly find discounted food based on a map of eligible grocery stores. Customers can then choose their discounted food items, pay in the app, and pick up their order(s) at the grocery store. Since launching, Loblaws and Flashfood have diverted 40 million pounds of food from landfill. The Flashfood program is available across 720 Loblaws stores and franchises to help you save money and reduce waste. Learn more.
