Indy 500 tires incorporate recycled plastic bags, film, and more
Bridgestone Americas has partnered with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Penske, and Shell to use ISCC Plus certified recycled butadiene in Indy 500 racecar tires for the 2023 season. Butadiene is made from used plastic shopping bags, film, stretch wrap and other flexible polymer packaging. Read more about sustainable racecar tires.
