Biotech company collaborates with consultancy firms to launch food upcycling technology
Fotortec, a Chilean biotech company, has partnered with Swedish consultancy firms A Better Future AB and Xylo Sweden AB to launch a food waste upcycling technology that creates new and valuable by-products. Fotortec created a scalable technology that can cultivate and transform mushrooms into a variety of useful ingredients, such as fertilizer, flavor enhancers, protein isolates, and raw materials suitable for packaging—all using food waste.
