Circular economy program has helped businesses potentially divert almost 290 kg of waste from landfills

The Synergy Foundation’s Circular Economy Accelerator program, based in Victoria, aims to support businesses in adopting circular economy principles to reduce waste and greenhouse gas emissions while fostering innovation. Following a successful pilot phase with 16 businesses, the program identified 714 circular solutions, potentially diverting almost 290 kilograms of waste from landfills and reducing around 1,100 tonnes of CO2 emissions. The program will now expand its reach, aiming to work with up to 85 businesses over the next two years. The program emphasizes collaboration between sectors to maximize resource utilization and spur innovation, ultimately creating green jobs and making life more affordable.
