Small business in British Columbia helps customers reduce packaging waste
The Refill Stop, a small business in downtown New Westminster, has been making a significant impact on waste reduction since opening in November 2019. Founded by Jessica Brown, the store allows customers to refill clean containers with household and personal care products, such as dish soap, laundry detergent, and essential oils, instead of purchasing single-use plastic bottles. To date, the store has diverted over 80,000 bottles from landfills and recycling facilities. The Refill Stop promotes sustainability, saves customers money, and reduces waste by offering a wide range of refillable products. Read more about the Refill Stop’s commitment to waste reduction.
