2024 fees for users of the Excess Soil Registry were finalized on February 13, 2024, and will take effect on April 1, 2024. See the 2024 Excess Soil Registry fee schedule.
Excess Soil Registry fees are used to cover costs related to building and operating the Registry and providing support to users.
Consultation process
From November 10, 2023, to January 10, 2024, RPRA consulted on proposed fees for the Excess Soil Registry.
This proposal outlines the originally proposed 2024 fees for the Excess Soil Registry and gives an overview of RPRA’s Cost Allocation Methodology.
Throughout the consultation period, RPRA hosted a webinar to walk through the original proposal, answer questions and gain feedback from registrants and other interested stakeholders. A recording of the webinar and the presentation slides are linked in the Webinar Materials section of this page.
As a result of feedback received during the consultation period, RPRA will spread the recovery of the Excess Soil Registry deficit over five years instead of the three years initially proposed, thereby reducing the final fee rates compared to the rates proposed during the consultation.
The consultation report summarizes what we heard and how we responded to feedback.
