A new service is offering “ugly” produce at a discount

Odd Bunch, a company that sells “odd” or “ugly” fruits and vegetables, which do not meet major grocery retailers’ aesthetic standards, is launching in Toronto. The company sources produce directly from farms, greenhouses and distributors in southwestern Ontario, to offer customers selections between an all-vegetable, all-fruit, or mixed box to be delivered directly to their door. While not the first service of its kind, Odd Bunch stands out for its commitment to addressing food waste. Since launching in May 2022, Odd Bunch has reportedly diverted 10 million pounds from landfills. Read more.
