An African mobile network operator is recycling e-waste through a partnership with a Swedish telecom company

MTN Benin, Africa’s largest mobile network operator, has partnered with Ericsson, a Swedish multinational networking and telecommunications company, to recycle end-of-life electronic and electrical equipment. The Ericsson Product Take-Back Program has collected and recycled over 123 metric tons of waste since 2021.
