Ford is adopting sustainable practices, moving away from traditional materials like petroleum-based plastics to those sourced responsibly or recycled. The company has been using innovative materials, including coffee bean husks and, more recently, waste from olive trees. Ford aims to achieve 20% recycled and renewable plastics in new vehicle designs by 2025 and is committed to becoming more sustainable, with goals such as using 100% carbon-free electricity in all manufacturing by 2035 and reaching zero-to-waste landfill across operations by 2030.
