The CleanBC Plastics Action Fund, launched in 2020, is boosting efforts to tackle plastic waste in British Columbia by investing nearly $40 million in innovative recycling and reuse projects. This year, the fund is allocating over $14 million to support 32 new projects, creating over 100 jobs and strengthening local economies. Notably, nine of these projects are Indigenous-led, receiving more than $800,000 of the total funds. A new funding category for regional plastics innovation will support projects outside major urban areas. Read more about the CleanBC Plastics Action Fund.
