Bostonian seafood importer launches 100% recyclable and reusable packaging made of calcium carbonate
North Coast Seafoods, an East Coast seafood importer and processor based in Boston, has partnered with Disruptive Packaging, a sustainable packaging company from Australia, to launch 100% recyclable and reusable packaging called Unicor. This new packaging is composed of up to 70% calcium carbonate and 20-30% high-density polyethylene, making it a fully closed-loop recyclable without compromising on quality. It is waterproof, leakproof, and durable, passing all necessary strength and protection tests, including airline approvals. North Coast has already begun transitioning its seafood packaging and will continue in the coming months. Read more about this fully closed-loop recyclable packaging.
