Canadian startup introduces technology to retrieve precious metals from electronics

Excir, a Canadian cleantech startup has signed an agreement with the United Kingdom’s Royal Mint to implement new technology that will enable them to safely retrieve and recycle precious metals from electronic waste. The company’s patented technology currently allows a 99% recovery rate of gold from circuit boards from laptops and phones.
