Cardboard production is making farm fields more fertile in Finland
Cardboard factory Metsä Board has partnered with circular economy company Soilfood to reuse fibres from the cardboard production process in agriculture to improve soil fertility. Over 99% of Metsä Board’s production side streams are upcycled for materials or energy, with a goal of generating no landfill waste in 2030 and onwards. Read more about upcycling cardboard.
