Certification for upcycled ingredients and products has expanded into Canada
Upcycled Certified is a certification program for upcycled food ingredients and products by the Upcycled Food Association (UFA). The certification helps retailers showcase products and indicates to customers which products are made with surplus food or food by-products throughout the supply chain. Earlier this year, UFA announced the expansion of its Upcycled Certified program into Canada, after its success in the U.S. As part of the expansion, UFA has partnered with Anthesis Provision and COIL (Circular Opportunity Innovation Launchpad) in Guelph-Wellington.
